FUNDRAISING DINNER TO BENEFIT LITTLE FLOWERS PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN & FAMILIES AND DISABLED ADULTS IN NEED

Liza Huber Hesterberg, Patrick J. Clarke, Grace G. Lo GrandeLittle Flower Children and Family Services of New York, one of the largest and most respected agencies providing critical programs and services to children, families and adults with developmental disabilities in New York City and across Long Island, celebrated its 85th Anniversary at the Monsignor John T. Fagan Awards.  The annual fundraiser honored Liza Huber Hesterberg, CEO and Founder, Sage Spoonfuls with the Humanitarian Award and Patrick J. Clarke, Owner, Celtic General Contractors, with the Service Award.  The event was held at Guastavino’s and was emceed by Elisa DiStefano, News 12 Long Island anchor.

The evening consisted of cocktails, a silent and live auction, dinner and award ceremony.  This year’s Honorary Chairs were award winning actress and star of Devious Maids, Susan Lucci and her husband Helmut Huber.  Co-chairs included Barry B. Clarke, Alex Hesterberg, Larry Wohl and Frank Zimbaro.  The night was topped off with an inspiring speech from Shakeria Rodriguez, foster youth in the Little Flower Mother/Baby program.

Executive Director, Grace G. Lo Grande said, “I am honored and proud to stand beside this year’s honorees.  Both represent the long-standing commitment and dedication of generations of individuals and companies who have helped to keep our founder Msgr. Bernard Quinn’s dream alive for 85 years.”

The Awards Dinner, renamed in 2012 in honor of Msgr. John T. Fagan under whose direction Little Flower grew and prospered into one of the largest child welfare agencies in New York State, recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to Little Flower, their community and the lives of those less fortunate.
