Matthew Bredes, CPA, is Little Flower’s Chief Financial Officer. In his role, Bredes leads the fiscal operations of Little Flower and St. John’s Residence for Boys, where he is recognized for both his technical expertise and his collaborative approach to leadership. He also oversees the Information Technology and Services and Facilities teams and serves as a key financial advisor to the president and CEO and the boards of directors of the affiliated organizations. Bredes is accountable for all financial functions, including financial monitoring and oversight and budget preparation and monitoring.

Before joining Little Flower, Bredes served as an audit director and quality assurance director for the international accounting firm BDO USA, LLP. In this role, he directed and managed local audit teams and provided guidance to regional nonprofit and healthcare engagement teams. Bredes had been a loyal employee of BDO USA, LLP for 16+ years before joining the Little Flower team.

Bredes is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in accounting and fraud examination. He is a certified public accountant.
